Blue and Joy are the main characters of a project created by Fabio La Fauci (Milan 1977) and Daniele Sigalot (Rome 1976) at the end of 2005. Based in Berlin the italian art duo spent last spring at The Chill Concept’s artist in residency program and exhibited their “Paper Planes” at Hardcore Art Contemporary.

Now they are back with an invasion of Paper Planes— sculptures actually crafted with spray and aluminum –that were a big success last summer thanks to a collaboration with FENDI, the italian fashion house that chose and displayed their “paper” airplanes in 27 Fendi stores all over the world.

ee48c3061885a479b80e21c4a6fa4824Blue and Joy’s planes were formerly exhibited in the Triennale Museum in Milan and in Palazzo Reale in Naples but will now be in  Miami (USA) thanks to The Chill Concept who will dedicate its booth to the art duo at Context Art Miami from December 3rd to 7th, 2014.

Blue and Joy are a big mix of experiences, a mix of techniques (from cardboard to aluminium, from mosaic to video, from drawing to painting) and a concept that is not only young and trendy but also a esthetic mirror of our times.

CONTEXT is the sister fair to Art Miami dedicated to the development and reinforcement of emerging and mid-career artists. Launched in 2012, CONTEXT’s open atmosphere creates a meaningful dialogue between artists, galleries and collectors.
